Five Contenders for Worst Team in the NFL

Week 2 isn't even completely in the books yet, so naturally it's never too early to judge which teams will hold the worst records and the top picks in the 2019 NFL Draft. At time of writing, ten teams are without a win (which will drop to nine after the Seahawks or Bears win on Monday Night.) But they don't all make this list, these teams have a distinct possibility of finishing with few wins after a slow start.

Buffalo Bills (0-2)
The Bills hold a -55 point differential through two weeks, the worst in the league. And their opponents, the Baltimore Ravens and Los Angeles Chargers, are both only 1-1. There is much tougher competition on the way. Between Nathan Peterman and rookie Josh Allen, Buffalo's offense has a ways to go, putting up a whopping 23 points through two weeks. With AFC East rivals still on the gauntlet, wins could be few and far between for Buffalo. Until the end of the season where they'll win some meaningless games or spoil a rival's season, as they tend to do.
Arizona Cardinals (0-2)
Sam Bradford and the Cardinals have scored 6 points through two games of football, and they all came in the first game. After a 24-6 loss to the Washington Redskins and 34-0 beatdown by the Los Angeles Rams, the Cardinals have a strong case for worst team in the NFL. Like the Bills, the Cardinals are likely to struggle against divisional rivals, like the San Fransisco 49ers and a second meeting with the Rams. The Packers, Chiefs, and Falcons also litter the Cardinals schedule.

New York Giants (0-2)
Many were expecting a bounceback season in New York with a rookie Saquon Barkley and healthy Odell Beckham Jr. It's only Week 2, so the Giants can still turn it around, but their schedule is brutal. If a win isn't found in Week 3 against the Houston Texans, a stretch of games against the Eagles, Falcons, Panthers and Saints could quickly push the Giants to 0-7 or 1-6. The offense, which has shown flashes of both brilliance and unreadiness, has put up 28 points through two weeks. To New York's credit, each game ended within a one touchdown margin.

Detroit Lions (0-2)
The Lions also had playoff aspirations, which are still in tact, but two losses has Detroit searching for answers. Sam Darnold had a huge third quarter in Week 1 to propel the Jets 48-17 on Monday Night Football. In Week 2 the Lions put up a fight to the end against the 49ers, falling 30-27. Unlike the other teams, the Lions offense should be able to win them a few games, but their defense is definitely suspect. Matchups with the Packers, Vikings, Patriots, and Seahawks will pose tough challenges as Detroit searches for these wins.
Cleveland Browns (0-1-1)
We don't want to put the Browns here, because they're better this year right? The Browns have a -3 differential by virtue of  tie and 3 point loss. The tie was against the Steelers, and the narrow loss was in New Orleans, so Cleveland actually does have some moral victories under their belt. Unfortunately, those don't count in the standings. Cleveland's schedule is actually devoid of major threats with many (projected) middle of the road teams like the Ravens, Bengals, Chargers, Buccaneers, and Raiders on the schedule. Even more winnable games include the Jets in Week 3, Texans, and Broncos. But until the Browns win a game, they don't get a pass, and must be on this list.

Side note: The Browns are already in a unique position with a tie, which could put them a half game ahead or behind a team in the final standings.

Which team will finish with the top pick? The Bills, Cardinals and Browns will probably be in the mix, and the Giants and Lions are in danger too if they don't turn their seasons around.

I need to turn my season around too after a shaky performance in my Week 2 picks.

Patriots Quickly Lose Underdog Status in Fluctuating Vegas Line

Championship Sunday gave us two wild overtime games with the winners set to meet in two weeks at Super Bowl 53 in Atlanta. On Sunday night, the Los Angeles Rams opened as slight one point favorites, which would have had Tom Brady and the New England Patriots play the underdog role once again. The line quickly shifted to a pick 'em game. This feels like the most accurate reflection of the game's odds. While the Rams finished with a better regular season schedule, Brady and the Patriots are playing in their third straight Super Bowl and it would be tough to call them true underdogs. As Monday progressed, bettors started shifting the line in favor of the Patriots, likely to reflect early bets. Many bettors probably saw taking an underdog Patriots team as an easy bet. The line could go even deeper in New England's favor, or perhaps balance out closer to a pick 'em. Realistically, the line won't favor either team by more than 1 or 2 points, making it essentia

NFL Divisional Round Reactions

The second round of the NFL playoffs told a different tale than Wildcard Weekend. After home teams went 1-3 in the playoffs opening weekend, they won, often in impressive fashion, going 4-0 in the Divisional Round. Four home teams, four favorites, four high-scoring offenses. The Kansas City Chiefs, New England Patriots, Los Angeles Rams, and New Orleans Saints all held 6-2, 7-1, or 8-0 home records in the regular season, and they carried the home-field advantage into the playoffs. In my personal picks, I went 3-1, incorrectly predicting the LA Rams would slip up and allow the Dallas Cowboys to advance. The most exciting and close game was between the Eagles and Saints, with New Orleans winning by a score and Nick Foles nearly pulling off a game-winning drive. Colin Kaepernick Stars in Nike Commerical Ahead of 2018 NFL Season

Two days after launching their 30th annual "Just do it" campaign, Nike has released a commercial starring Colin Kaepernick, about defying the odds and never settling on the path to success. "Don't just become the best basketball player of all-time" Kaepernick narrates over footage of LeBron James, a kid from Akron, Ohio. "Be bigger than basketball," he continues as James opens his promise school, an accomplishment he called the most important of his career. Kaepernick sheds light on touching and inspirational stories of Shaquem Griffin and Serena Williams. The commercial is set to air ahead of the NFL opener between the Atlanta Falcons and Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles. With Kaepernick's Nike sponsorship already coming under heavy fire and debate on social media, the commercial will potentially spark more controversy and dialogue on the season's opening night. Kaepernick tweeted out the video Wednesday afternoon: Believe i
