Oladipo to LeBron: If You Want To Win, Come to Indy

LeBron James is a expected to make a major free agency decision for just the second time in his career this summer. While the de facto favorites so far have been the Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers, and Houston Rockets, other teams could still compete for LeBron's services before he make his second "Decision." While Joel Embiid has already publicly recruited LeBron, Philadelphia was already a rumored landing spot. But now, recently-crowned Most Impoved Player Victor Oladipo has thrown the Indiana Pacers name in the ring. Oladipo told TMZ Sports that James is his most highly coveted free agent acquisition for the 2018-2019 season. "If you want to win, come to Indy" the guard said, publicly addressing LeBron. While the big buzz has been around the prospects of building superteams, teaming up with Kawhi Leonard and/or Paul George, or completing the process in Philadelphia, there are other suitors that could make sense in the

Booker and Ayton Actually Could Be the Next Kobe and Shaq

DeAndre Ayton was selected number one overall by the Phoenix Suns in the 2018 NBA Draft, and he's wasting no time making his voice heard. He compared the newly formed duo of Devin Booker and himself to the historic pair of Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal. While many are quick to dismiss this as arrogant banter, what if we entertain the thought? Could this really be the NBA's next power duo, and one of legendary proportions at that? Let's start by removing the extreme: it would be outlandish and foolish to say Booker and Ayton will have careers that rival those of Kobe and Shaq. But in simpler terms, could the duo have a dominant three-year run like the two Hall of Fame Los Angeles Lakers did in the early 2000's? I think it's quite possible. Consider these two players: Player A: 22.5 PPG, 4.9 AST, 6.3 RPG, 47% FG Player B: 24.9 PPG, 4.7 AST, 4.5 RPG, 43% FG You could really go either way here, a slightly better rebounder and more effective

Twins Send 2017 All-Star All the Way Down to Single-A

Promising 25-year-old third baseman Miguel Sano has disappointed the Minnesota Twins in 2018, just a year after representing the team as an AL All-Star. The Twins are sending Sano from the major league squad down to the Single-A Fort Myers Miracle in Florida. Maybe they're hoping the move will prove a miracle for Sano's career. In his All-Star 2017 campaign, Sano hit .264, an OBP of .352 with 28 home runs and 77 RBI. This season, Sano is batting .203 with a .270 OBP, 7 home runs, and 27 RBI. Truth be told, while the fourth year player is slumping, did his numbers really merit going all the way back to Single-A? I don't think so, maybe Double-A or Triple-A. Maybe location played a factor, with Sano getting some necessary time away from Minnesota to clear his head in sunny Florida. Sano will look to get back to the Twins on a stronger note eventually. If he rises through their system once again, it will include stops in Tennessee (Double A) and Rochester, NY (Tripl

Predicting the Next Five NBA Champions

For the past four years, we've been treated to a historic rivalry: four straight NBA Finals matchups between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors. But many are growing weary and fans of the other 28 teams are often left to wonder: what's the point of watching if the same two teams are left in June every year? In 2018, it seemed like the streak would end, as the Cavaliers barely got out of the first round, and the Warriors weren't fully powered. Even a week before the Finals, both teams were down 3-2 in their conference finals matchups. There was a taste of a fantasy where the young Boston Celtics took on the Houston Rockets, with almost every player making their NBA Finals debut. Instead, we had Cavaliers-Warriors, Round 4. That should change next season, and definitely will if one thing happens: LeBron James looks set to leave Cleveland. The Cavaliers would instantly fall out of contention and guarantee we don't get a 5th straight matchup between th
